Elevator Pitch No. 1

The opportunity I saw was that there are scooters all over Gainesville, usually outside. However almost none of these scooters have any kind of protection on them from mother nature. This causes scooters to deteriorate very quickly. My solution is the Protectoscoot by Lagana & company. The Protectoscoot is an all purpose weather cover for scooters. Unless other weather covers on the market, the Protectoscoot goes on and off in a matter of seconds and easily fits right into the storage compartment. It's cheap yet reliable and will undoubtedly increase the longevity of your scooter.

  1. Hi Anan, I see your idea has wonderful potential and keep at it. I think the one thing missing from your pitch was some sort of passion. I did not see you smile and remember this pitch should be about 60 seconds of "wow". You want potential investors to feel that same excitement for your product as you feel.

Remember we learned in class, we need something to catch the attention right off the bat. No need to give our names because the pitch is about the product or service offered, not us. That should come after you jaw dropping pitch.

I liked how you described the problem encountered and your solution briefly. I by no means have a clear understanding of how these are suppose to go and feel you are close to getting it.

Here is the link to my pitch and trust me, I struggled.

  2. I agree with Sonja that the pitch may have lacked a little enthusiasm, however I think you're onto something great here. While I don't have a scooter myself (parents won't pay for it), many of my friends do and they're constantly complaining about scooting in the rain and cold. I may not have a scooter but I've ridden on the back of them many times and it really is a pain. Something cheap and easy to use is always a plus, so I think this idea has a lot of potential.

  3. Hi Anan

I think you have a great idea going here. I know a lot of my friends who have scooters and are frustrated by their scooters' deterioration by weather. I think it would definitely be a great idea to market to those who own scooters but something to think about would be how to functionally store and carry this cover. Since scooters have really small storage space, even nonexistent if they store a helmet in their scooter, it can be challenging to add the scooter cover to the storage place as well. Overall, I think you did a good job. Here is the link to my pitch if you want to check it out: http://lbritthoff.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html
